With nearly 5 acres of regulated wetlands impacted by the upcoming construction of a new facility in Upstate New York, LAND Remediation, Inc. was selected to lead construction and provide full-service wetland mitigation efforts to restore ecological balance. LRI’s team is constructing 8 acres of new wetlands in the Richelieu Watershed, exceeding the required creation of at least 6 acres for replacement wetlands. The work includes over 9,000 cubic yards of excavation and grading, placement of 1,200 cubic yards of coarse woody debris, and construction of permanent aggregate rock ford crossings. Temporary crossings and sediment controls such as stone check dams will be installed to minimize site impact during construction. Every detail is designed to reduce disturbance during construction and support long-term habitat function. It’s mitigation built to last, led by a team that understands the value of delivering long-term ecological solutions and our role in protecting natural resources.
“We’re proud to partner with LAND on this important project in the Richelieu Watershed. Their expertise and attention to detail are helping us go beyond regulatory requirements to deliver durable, high-functioning wetlands. Together, we’re building more than just replacement acres; we’re investing in long-term ecological resilience.”
