The Former Ludlow Street Works MGP site was accepted into the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program to help advance remediation and redevelopment in the area.

Once an undeveloped and vacant property, LAND Remediation, Inc. remediated the site to prepare it for future use which will bring long-term value to both the neighborhood and region. Working in a very urban area on a size-limited footprint, LAND performed excavation of MGP & PCB impacted soils, removal of debris and boulders, and deep In-Situ soil stabilization while managing import of admixtures and export of impacted materials for disposal. 

As with most projects, QA/QC was paramount on this site to meet the strict performance standards of the regulatory agencies and project stakeholders.  While working in a city neighborhood bound by residences and a rail spur, LAND completed the project on schedule with no noise, odor, or monitoring exceedances.
