Project Summary

LAND Remediation served as Prime Contractor to Brookhaven Science Associates to perform sediment removal actions in the PR-WC-06 section of the Peconic River. Work included installation of a well point dewatering system, use of temporary equipment mats to access the work area, precision removal of 6-18- inches of mercury-impacted sediment to a clean sand horizon, collection of the post confirmatory excavation samples, packaging of sediment for off-site disposal and restoration of the creek-bed. LAND provided technical services with the preparation and certification of the Quality Assurance Project Plan, Work Plan and Final Construction Certification Report.
